What are the Format of your readings?

If you book a full birth chart reading, I cast your chart and record a detailed video interactively pointing out all that I see for you, showing and explaining each of your astrological placements. When I am finished your reading, I email you a copy of the recording so that you can watch and re-listen at your leisure. I don’t offer live face to face readings. I read birth charts blind (what that means is that I do not need to meet you or interact with you in any way before hand). This is my preferred way of reading charts as it allows me to focus deeply only on what your chart tells me.

For transit readings, follow up questions and Astro Express readings, the format of my readings are audio recordings. I deliver these via email.

What Type of astrologer are you?

I am karmic astrologer which means that I believe most of the placements in your birth chart are a reflection of your past like karma.

I practise western astrology; I use a number of different house systems. I work with whole sign, placidus, and meridian. I also use major asteroids, fixed stars, trans-neptunians and degree theory.

I practise both modern and traditional astrology as I see value in both. I would describe myself as a progressive astrologer with a deep respect and love for the wisdom of ancient astrology.

Astrology is a tree, with many branches and deep roots. One form of astrology is not superior to another. Each branch of astrology has merit and I continually study astrology so that I can offer you the best possible service.

What Can you See in a Birth Chart?

A lot. I can see who you are at your core, how you are perceived by others, the persona you adopt at work, the types of people you are attracted to, your hopes and your dreams, your struggles and your wounds, your inner gifts and the type of career you may be best suited to. I can see how your childhood and roots have shaped you into the person you are today. I can see your nodes of destiny and tell you what you are here to gain mastery over. I can explain what you need to move towards to gain fulfilment in this lifetime. I can also see many of the things you had to experience in this lifetime for your soul’s growth.

Can You See Bad things in a chart?

I see everything, both good and bad. The things we perceive as bad can ultimately work out to be good. I do not subscribe to the terms good or bad as they are fatalistic.

Life is nuanced and there are gifts inherent in even the most challenging placements. I truly believe that.

I deliver everything I see in an empathetic and gentle way. I handle each chart with care as I understand that having your chart read can be a vulnerable experience. I will acknowledge anything hard that I see in your chart but in a way that encourages and uplifts you for the future. A reading should make you feel empowered, not depressed; this is my mantra.

Can You See If I Will Find Love?

I believe love is fated and that there is an element of free will involved for both parties.

I can certainly see when you are likely to meet someone but I cannot guarantee a relationship will last.

No one can.

Timelines around love can sometimes be unhelpful if you allow them to rob you of your personal power. I ask you to keep this in mind if you are seeking astrological counsel on love.

As regards marriage, there is an asteroid of marriage in the birth chart called Juno. This can show the qualities of your life partner and can sometimes show where you are likely to meet them. I include this asteroid in all of my full birth chart readings. I do not offer predictions on when or if you may meet this person because it involves another person’s free will.

How Did You Learn Astrology?

The hard way! I taught myself astrology for many years. It was a long, arduous (lonely) process. I read everything I could find, I interpreted charts a million times over. I taught myself the house systems. When I learnt of a person’s birth chart, I observed them as if they were a case study mentally taking notes of their energy. I studied the charts of friends and family deeply. I offered free birth charts to strangers. I would say I easily read at least a hundred birth charts for free to build my astrology muscles.

Eventually after what felt like a lifetime, I found my amazing teacher; Uranian Astrologer Matt. From the moment, I crossed paths with Matt, I knew he was the teacher I had been waiting for. He is an expert in Western Astrology and Uranian Dial. On the day I found Matt, he was advertising his very first astrology class.

There is a saying: when the student is ready, the master appears.

With Matt’s help, I was finally able to tie together all of the strands of the astrological knowledge I had gathered from a hundred different sources. He helped my work become more comprehensive and cohesive. I learnt so much from him. He is one of the most gifted astrologers in the world and I am so fortunate to say that I was one of his first graduates. I have been taught and mentored by a true master of astrology. I am forever indebted to him.

I do not regret taking the long road to learning astrology because it brought me to my teacher. All roads lead us where we are meant to go.

How Long Are the Birth Chart Readings?

On average, readings are 90 minutes long so I allow that time in the appointment booking. Of course, it depends on the individual chart, no two charts are the same. I take my time with each reading as I like to be detailed and thorough. Some charts can take longer. Some take less than 90 minutes but all full birth chart readings you purchase are at least 60 minutes long. I say everything I see. Nothing more. Nothing less.

In every reading I strive to focus on the quality of my interpretation not the length of the reading. As a result my reading length can vary from chart to chart. A reading can’t be rushed. I always say it takes as long as it takes.

HoW Quickly Do You Deliver Readings?

There is a waiting period of several months for full birth chart readings as I do a very limited amount and there is great demand. I believe a chart reading comes to you when you need it most. If you are happy to wait, I would be honoured to read for you.

My other readings have a quicker turnaround time if you need guidance sooner.

What is your AStro Express Service? Why is it called THE MARY?

Astro Express Readings were born in response to queries from clients I had previously read for. When a client reached out with a pressing problem and needed urgent astrological guidance, I realised they couldn’t wait months for a reading. One such client, Mary, suggested I set up Astro Express Readings. She was the first repeat client who paid for this reading so I named my Astro Express Service (THE MARY) in her honour. Like all of my readings, I provide a limited number. The astro express reading is in response to a single question or query. Perhaps you are feeling stuck and need some quick general guidance on how to navigate your current transits. I record the guidance in a brief voice recording and email it to you within four days of your appointment date.

Please note that this service is intended to be used as guidance. Astrological guidance is very powerful but it cannot and should not replace your own intuition or the free will you have when it comes to making your life decisions.

DO You Read Charts For Children?

Yes I do read children’s chart (I am currently on a hiatus) and I hope to release some childrens’ chart readings in the summer. When reading charts for children there is a caveat; a child’s chart should not be read deeply.

A child is too young to give informed consent to have their birth chart read. A child is entitled to their privacy. A child has a right to the mystery of their life unfolding. As an ethical astrologer I will use a child’s chart only to guide you on how best to parent the child based on their astrological placements.

DO You Sell Transit Readings?

Yes. I am happy to announce that I now offer transit readings.

Please be advised that transit readings have the potential to be overused or abused as a form of seeking constant reassurance or trying to control future outcomes. Astrology is not fortune telling; it is the analysis of future planetary energies and an interpretation of how they may affect you.

The pitfalls of using astrology to look into your future is that it can disconnect you from your intuition and prevent you from enjoying the gift that is the present moment.

What If I have questions after My Birth chart Reading?

For follow up questions after your birth chart reading, I now charge a small fee. In the past I offered complimentary follow up questions but with my growing list of clients, that has became unsustainable. Each follow up question for a client deserves a response that includes further analysis of the chart.

Do You Sell Synastry Readings?

Although I have sold synastry readings in the past, I don’t actively advertise them as a standalone service due to my waiting list for birth charts. If you have had your birth chart read by me already, I am happy to answer any synastry queries if you book through the Follow Up Questions service. Synastry queries can also be booked through my Astro Express Service if you are a new client.

When looking at the synastry between two people, I recommend that you seek the consent of the other party before you share their birth details with an astrologer.

Synastry readings although helpful in understanding the energy between two people should not be used to determine whether you should remain in a relationship or reconcile with someone. This is a decision you must make yourself. An astrologer cannot make this decision for you. Never outsource any major life decisions to an astrologer. Astrology always operates within the realms of free will. Many things in life are fated but you always have the free will to choose how you respond.
